Let the women decide!

Women's
government and European movement in Serbia (EPuS), in
cooperation with network of local councils of EPuS are
organising voting for the campaign" Let the women
decide!", during December of 2006.and January of
2007.in the frame work of the parliament elections on
21.of January, 2007.

Goals of the" Let the
women decide" campaign are:
- Higher turn-out of women on
parliament elections in Serbia , 21. of January of 2007.,
- Entrence higher number of
women in institutions after elections- minimum 30 %,
- Using the year of 2007.-
year of equal possibilities for that women in Serbia
promote and use weiser their rights
- Delivering the message to
the citizens i politicians of European Union that there is
unused democratic potential in Serbia (women in action)
which needs support in order for the country to accomplish
the integration within european structure.

Major
activites during the campaign are:
- Media campaign
in which the TV video with the message for the women
will be aired on the following chanels: RTS, TV 5 i
TV Panonija, as well as on the local TV stations.
Members of the Women's government will be guests on
the local Televisions on at least 5 channels out of
Belgrade.

Public debates
in 5 cities where the members of the Womens
government and European movement will be guests
together with women that are on the voting lists of
political parties.
The main topic of debate will be
participation of women in politics, as well as the
message for the electoral body to use their right to
vote. Local councils of EPuS as organizers of the
whole action, will contact representatives of the
civil society, medias and especially young women,
who are members of the political parties.
- Street actions
will be organized in 30 cities, during which the
informative material will be given to the passangers
( informative brochures about importance of
participation of women in democratic process, pens,
baloons, flags, and apples).
- Pre-electoral
convention of women

Major activity of the campaign "Let the women
decide" is the organisation pre-electoral convention of
women, where all women from the pro-European parties will get
together. Convention will be held on 13.of January of 2007,
starting at 5 until 12:00 o'clock with the slogan "Let
the women decide". Among female politicians, other
prestigious women and men will be invited to Convention of the
the 161 candidates from the Women's government election, 100
prestigious women, ambassadors, female diplomats, media and
civil society representatives .The major goal of Convention is
to promote support and development of women for pre-European
and social option for Serbia.
