WE REPRESENT MILA VUJIC
We would introduce MILA VUJIC, private entrepreneurs and a member of the female COORDINATION BOARD Enterprise "Theodore"

When did you begin own business and did you have any previous experience in business?

I have to admit that as a student I didn’t have a lot of experience. But the practical work in secondary school, the famous "practice" and part-time jobs increased the budget of my own "pocket money" that has always been insufficient. Such experience turned out to be very important to me. It all started with my wish to help to a friend of my relative. I can remember how astonished I was while looking at all the tracks passing down the streets. It was not until then that I started paying attention to them. Very soon I was persuaded that I was God given for this job. All these situations looked as a movie and I stated to be an assistant to many people and companies. And I got the nickname "hard cub" I felt as Alisa in the wonderland not even having the first thought that this game of mine would determine a completely new "role" for my life ...Life is really a miracle! And as just the life is capable of it took me to the situation where there was no way back. It was during the autumn and winter 1991.As it was a crazy idea, I established the company, I would initiate innovative approach to business, I would move things for better at least for a millimeter...That is the story about the beginning of Nissped & MV on 16 January 1992.

What helped you to start the job and did you have anybody’s support?

Strong faith in the idea, a clear picture of how it is to look and what principles should be to operate the company, the belief that I really can. The support was from the narrow circle of friends and my grandfather, whose initials are in the name of the company which have a great value to me. All think that the initials are mine, but they are not, they are my grandfather’s initials who strongly believed in me. Everybody else including my parents declared this idea of private business as foolishness.

How did you solve problems in the first year of business?

The most difficult to me were the prejudices that I encountered in business contacts, the kind of: “Kid, is this a joke? I work for you, do you use drugs?” To the: “Give me your ID, it is impossible that you are Mila Vujic!!?” I had to devise reasons for avoiding the "meetings", to look older ...The principle mode of operations has given the results, respect the agreement and effort of job finishing before the deadline created a number of associates and partners that their satisfaction with the cooperation made of those recommendations the specific type of marketing for my company, and me myself beside good advertisement, got an opportunity to meet and learn from brilliant mentors which was the pleasure and great honour to me.

Do you think that the business environment is discriminatory in a relation to the women entrepreneurs?

My personal experience shows that it is much easier to cooperate with the foreigners because in a large percentage they do not have that kind of prejudice. On the other hand, negative traditionalistic form makes a large number of problems I dealt here with. The fact that an enormous number of people toward women in business relate with the suspicion, speaks in favor of degree of development in our society and it seems to me that it just has started to develop. Unfortunately they would be able to do a lot of inadmissible things to prove that you are not able to manage the company.

Specify the three most current problems in business.

-Not harmonized legislation of ours and international -The problem of payment of claims in our country - Not consistent standards above all.

If you were in a position to create an environment for business development, what would you change?

I would change a lot of that, although there is the indication of moving toward that course. I realize that the bit quintessence is in the education system and it‘s reorganization. We already have a problem with the lack of operational staff. By reforming, modernizing and optimizing services institutions – which directly will lead to, both the time and the nerves saving. Profit in a culture of communication and the creation of all segments of the business environment would be dramatically better. Certainly the attitude that if you earn a budget salary you don’t have to work that much, would be exterminated. The fact that we are again in the period of being good to be budget payed is alarming enough that any comment is needlessly. The necessity of changes, the implementation of legislation as well as deregulation of “debt lobbing” are basic conditions of the economy revival. We all know that by the principle of claim – slow justice is no justice. Stimulation rates for the investments and all that I have already said would be encouragement for many people and be able to heal, not without the reason inveterate opinion, that the economy has been created by politicians, which are proved as bad businessmen or even worse that they are without a day of business experience. If we want changes at the same time to stay the same – we would be spinning in vicious circle.

What your own experience would you like to represent to the future entrepreneurs?

Always – love and believe in things you do, analyze, be critical as well the self-critical, save your integrity and dignity, always learn because it is only way to be free, pay attention to detail, be accurate, don’t be lazy - give your maximum, believe in yourself and always thank people who helped you, and in the end, try to make of ordinary moments the small joy of life.

Never - do not get involved in gossips at the working place, do not blame others for your own failure or defeat, don’t lament for destiny, rather take control, don’t do the job you don’t like, don’t be great just in your success but also in a failure, don’t let hurt vanity control your doings, do not think that you have learned enough. Don’t get discourage, do not forget that behind every success is a lot of work! Never forget a smile to put on and
never say never!!!
