BALKANSKI POLITIČKI KLUB

Sofia, 2nd June 2005

Dear Mrs. Vujic,

I am writing you in my quality of executive director of the Balkan Political Club, an international non-governmental organization which was founded in 2001 on the initiative of Dr. Zhelyu Zhelev, President of Bulgaria (1990- 1997). More details on the Club you can find at our web-page www.balkanpoliticalclub.net. The main goals of the Club are related to development of the civil societies in the Balkan countries, to creation of contacts at all levels among them, to bringing together people and exchanging ideas.

The Club organizes on 18-19 June 2005 in Sofia a Conference on the “Construction of the regional infrastructure in the Balkans and the European integration”, and the Club members would like to invite mayors from the near-border regions for a dialogue on the Role of Local Self Government in Border Region Development and Trans Border Infrastructure Projects. This session will be organized with the support of “Friedrich Naumann” Foundation which encourages the liberal approach to the solution of the societal problems.

We shall be honoured if you will be so kind to accept our invitation coming to the Club Conference on next 18-19 June in Sofia.

Please, feel free to contact us for any additional clarification you might need.
Looking for hearing from you soon,
I remain sincerely

Dr Simeon Anguelov,
Executive Director
Balkan Political Club
